Saioa Echevarria Idianez, Trade Marks Attorney

Saioa joined FAL Lawyers in 2008. She is qualified as a Spanish Legal Practitioner and an Australian Registered Trade Marks Attorney.

Prior to joining FAL Saioa completed an exchange program at Maastricht University (Netherlands), where she studied European and International law.

Examples of work undertaken:

• searches of the proposed trade mark;
• advising on trade mark availability for use or registration;
• advising clients on the use and protection of trade marks and the classes of goods or services they need to cover in their registration;
• drafting trade mark applications and renewals for Cooperative Research Centres (CRCs), research organisations, SMEs and large corporations.
• composing complex letters of advice to clients and preparing documentation for the trade mark registry;
• dealing with general enquiries on trade mark protection;
• handling trademark renewals; and
• managing trade mark portfolios for clients.
